Dear Friends and Visitors,

My apologies for being so remiss updating this letter. Time is flying by and projects have been many. Most importantly, I want to let all who worked with me know that Don Pasqual, my teacher for nearly 20 years, passed to the other side on July 23, 2011 in peaceful sleep. We were very blessed to have him join us on the Peru journey in April, an event he said he would not have missed, and didn't. So much love goes with him as he enjoys the freedom of being back home. He is missed both here and in Q'ero but is no less present in our hearts.

I am on the verge of traveling over to Australia to resume work there with an enthusiastic community on the West Bay of the Melbourne area. In addition to the Activation workshop and ongoing Awakening group, we will have a parenting talk, mini-parenting workshops on several evenings, and my latest intense interest, a beekeeping class. The honeybees had been calling me for years until their plight became so important to me that I began beekeeping myself at the same time I became an advocate for their survival and the call to natural beekeeping - living with bees, not managing them. So I have created a space in my own garden for them where sun can warm them every morning and they have a variety of nectar and pollen-rich plants to live on; that added to the gardens and wild flowers within a 3-mile radius.

There was an immediate anchoring of magic on the property - the bees being coincident with my first year fully biodynamic. I will be honoring the bees with the Christmas Story this Christmas Eve and will also take the level of magic up a notch by creating a haven for the elementals using a biodynamic preparation called the Three Kings. Every year, these efforts on the property intensify the goodness of the fruit and vegetables and call in the next projects for completion. This spring it was tireless work to build my own unheated greenhouse which has proved to be an abundance booster in spite of not being functional til mid-June. In 2012, it feels like the addition of chickens, quite a common sight these days in Mount Shasta, and well worth the energy.

I have also upped my involvement in the local community, exploring the Transition Town movement, a resiliency group and a local food club. It has been a good year to weave connection to both the land and the community. We have been hard hit by the recession in the general sense but have strengthened our community bonds with gift, trade and volunteerism that come to the fore in crisis. I am championing a backyard beekeeping initiative with Transition Town, little by little getting more naturally raised honeybees in our area. We will be trying to strengthen the bee population to withstand our winters and later springs of late, the way they did before commercial beekeeping weakened the immunity and general strength of the hive.

My last days here are spent putting up the garden produce, sharing it with others along with favorite recipes and storage tips. I include a photo of the golden mean beehive in my backyard as a way of explaining my lack of attention to this newsletter. It is now in transition to raise the winter workers, eliminate the drones for the winter, and get as much honey and pollen stored as they can, and they are really working hard. I have taken no honey so they have maximum stores. Since they started from a swarm, it was a lot of hard work to get to this point. Wish them well, if you will.

I continue to follow the economic and political news, filtering out the truth and still getting a good take on that from Thom Hartmann's Big Picture news show each week night. It streams live at 6pm pacific time at http://www.rt.com/usa, just click "on the air". In my own life, I have learned to live with much less without loss to happiness or direction. We have had a big wake up call here in America, ongoing currently with Occupy Wall Street. It surely does feel like enough is enough.

I continue to find the positive in all of life. By this, I mean finding the middle ground between the rose-colored glasses of the New Age and Conspiracy Theory. If you know me, you know I am a pragmatic person who lives as much in my truth as I can. There is something important we need to get right now, and it isn't a myth about Earth ascending in one fell swoop in 2012. The Earth is in her process, just like we are, and as those truly earnest about enlightenment know, it doesn't happen in a flash. The kinds of things that happen in a flash are most often disasters. In this event, our best preparation for such an eventuality is to be fearless about death and life - and positive, without illusion, and that takes a real connection to truth. This is a healthy way to live whatever the circumstances, This fearlessness comes with sincere work on the spiritual path.

In the meantime, plant a garden, know where you can forage food, join community initiatives for self-sufficiency. You will, at the very least, have something good to eat, a sense of real accomplishment, and neighbors to chat with! A huge movement is going on at the grassroots level that is strikingly progressive (but politically neutral) and positive for all of us. Communities are instituting change, gathering together to support the supply of local produce, introducing new forms of money at a local level, passing laws to protect their towns from corporate domination, etc. And, supportive worldwide, non-profits are forming by the hundreds to help people help people. Blessed Unrest by Paul Hawken is a great book to read about this and I am always excited to get the next issue of Yes! Magazine to see what people all over the world are doing to take back their power. Negativity, like complacency, is seductive and just a symptom of powerlessness. We are not here to sleep. We are here to take action.

This winter, I will take up the writing of the Priestess and the Magus. It has gradually been entering my field, intensely over the summer, so will finish up the Magi ebook effort and prepare it for reprinting as well in my spare time overseas, and devote the winter to the next book. Watch the events page for new workshop opportunities as they arise. I continue to serve the children with gift parenting talks when asked. We are up against much with early technology and the pushing of science and math, even reading, at too young an age for the brain, but the evidence mounts that these pressures put on our children are causing them to meltdown emotionally (give them drugs) and intellectually (push harder for success). It isn't working and I am happy to talk to any group about why that is the truth. I have seen a new book at steinerbooks.org about the June 2012 Venus eclipse of the Sun by David Tresemer. I must read this one as it speaks about the right and wrong use of technology. Here is an excerpt from the book write up..

"The hyperbole and inflated attention given to the supposed "end of the world" on December 21, 2012, has obscured an actual rare celestial event happening in June of 2012—the passage of Venus before the face of the Sun as seen from the Earth, which happens every 125 years. Although Venus is much smaller than the Sun, Tresemer calls this an eclipse because of the ways he expects it to affect world events. What impact will it have?
David Tresemer considers the dynamics of Sun, Earth, Venus, and the exact location in the heavens of this eclipse event, weaving a dramatic story about the heart of technology, its uses for good or for ill, and the direction in which to find one’s power in "hands of the heart," actions based on warm feeling toward another."

Blessings and love to one and all,

Jessie

Below is the timeless message of July 2009.

It feels to me like this energy is here to stay. We have reached a moment in our evolution when the choices we make are, consciously or unconsciously, as much for humanity as for ourselves. Humanity needs the Earth to continue its evolutionary journey and the Earth needs humanity to complete this part of her journey. We are in this together. Every decision we make, no matter how insignificant, must embrace this consciousness. What part of technology can we embrace and what part is not sustainable? When we purchase an item at the grocery store or the big box store, for example, what impact does it have on Mother Earth? On human beings? Where did it come from? What was the impact on the planet as a result of its creation and transport to you? Does the work that we do support the Earth and human evolution? This is higher consciousness on an everyday level. It does no good to reserve this consciousness for moments of setting good intentions. It must be embodied, lived moment to moment, felt in the heart, brought forth from the soul.

This is the moment of truth. Truth is the only way forward. Thus being able to discern the truth becomes the highest of priorities. We can imagine this moment of truth as a fork in the road where "he who hesitates is lost" applies. Truth, as a feeling, guides the choice. We have needed this critical time, and even economic hardship, to re-evaluate what we hold dear, to re-commit to our spiritual work as the highest priority, and to strive for soul consciousness - what the Awakening and Healing the Rainbow Body coursework regards as Astral Mastery. That mastery moves our consciousness fully into soul.

Having managed to shake off an oppressive lethargy that slowly crept over me these last two weeks, I recognize this attempt to derail mission. With that lifting, the truth shines through. We are entering the era when the Warriors of Truth and Light can no longer observe from the sidelines. Consciousness must happen. It is time to call forth the Sisterhood and Brotherhood of the Sun in earnest to stand together as a soul-conscious community committed to the mission of human spiritual evolution. Over the years of my teaching and traveling, a weaving of this community has slowly progressed. We have a core group around the world who have steadily worked at self-mastery. I feel deeply committed to this group and ask them to hold a space of community love as the call goes forth to find those on the planet who "feel" a vital part of this mission.

As much as we need to create a space of love in the world, we need to know what we are up against. Without truth, we are powerless because we cannot discern. With truth we can engage mission without the doubt that otherwise shadows heart engagement. There are many of the Sisterhood and Brotherhood on the planet at this time. Some know who they are but most have not awakened to their true soul connections. Even those who have worked tirelessly at self-mastery on behalf of human evolution can feel isolated and unsupported on the planet. Additionally, at any stage of spiritual growth we can experience manipulation by a variety of invasive consciousnesses.

This provokes me to reorganize the nature of my work in circle with all those called to self-mastery. The Awakening and Healing the Rainbow Body coursework stands on its own. It is every bit as powerful a path to spirit as any hidden or revealed mystery school teachings. Perhaps it is more powerful in that its shamanic elements do not ignore the impact of the first three chakras. This coursework will remain the core of the self-mastery work. What will change is how one enters that path. Wisdom now dictates that the Rainbow Body coursework is not a place to sort out whether or not this path speaks to you. It is a space in which to heal your life, raise your consciousness, and move forward toward soul awareness and community.

And so it makes sense that, firstly, the call must go out in such a way the people can easily sort out their affinity for the work. Many are already called to this work through The Lineage of the Codes of Light and The Brotherhood of the Magi. Unfortunately, working at mastering our lives hasn't as much appeal as the dream of the achieved mastery exemplified in these two books. The truth is we cannot be in that mastery unless we actually master our lives. If we are carrying light codes of consciousness, we will likely have them activated reading the books. That is why I wrote the books and I highly recommend that activation. However, activating the codes and being able to access their gifts can be liken to your physical self and your soul positioned on opposite sides of a chasm with no bridge between. The coursework is the bridge. To succeed with this path to self-mastery clearly requires more than ego/personality-engagement, though that engagement is necessary. When the soul connects with truth, distraction falls away. As Spider Woman so wisely said to White Shell Woman when she became dismayed by the work of self-mastery, "What else have you to do with your life?" Really!

I recall Alice Bailey's use of the word "glamour" to describe the many distractions on the path. She would be bewildered at the industrial-strength level of distraction now, The commercial nature of the personality-based spiritual supermarket is virtually at our finger tips, assuming our fingers tips have access to a credit card number with security code. Discernment is, beyond a doubt, the most important lesson humanity is learning at the moment. One can spend years in the spiritual supermarket trying to fill a trolley with truth - and it hurts to be deceived. we cannot afford the time it takes to get over such experiences. For so many good reasons, like this one, I am leaning towards a little truth-based spiritual fast food.

It feels right and good to leave the coursework to those who recognize and answer the call. We can do this as open circles that embrace community rather than hierarchy. The spiritual fast food feature will be an introductory workshop. All those attracted to this work, for whatever reason, will transit through this powerful workshop to hear and "feel" the truth of life - and possibly heed the call to self-mastery. The content of the workshop will be the truth, which is at the core of light code activation. Part of the weekend will be a right here-right now approach to understanding our lives. It will be a spiritual adventure - a two-day intensive sharing of key teachings from the Sun Mysteries that is bound to move energy for everyone regardless of their choice to continue in the coursework or not. An attendees life is all they need to bring to the workshop, along with an openness that allows the truth to move through their fields accessing their soul and the willingness to let the soul express itself through their heart-felt feelings. The person they are after the workshop, the person they are becoming, can then make a choice about this coursework or another beneficial path for their soul's consciousness. Experience does warn that once activated by truth, one must act. There can be no comfortable return to the old self.

Please see the Events page for details of this new introductory program, Light Code Activation; The Sun Mysteries Intensive. I might add that acting through self-study using the Companion Guide for the coursework is a good alternative to attending an open circle if you are unable to make it to a circle. I will now be offering consulting sessions by phone or email for those who are working with the workbook and need direct input from me. See details on the new Consultation page. Perhaps technology can serve us internationally with voice computer sessions.

That brings me to the gourmet goodies part of this treatise - the retreats. These are opportunities for those of us committed to this path to be in community together for three or four full days of growth, sharing, play and love. Since community is what soul consciousness tends to want to create, these events are truly gourmet. Attendance will remain limited to committed coursework participants who will occasionally be called upon to let their talents shine forth on behalf of the group.

Much love and peace your way,
Jessie
