Living through times of immense change presents us with the most profound opportunities to make a difference but there are glaring disadvantages as well. Prominent amongst those disadvantages is the difficulty in seeing the forest for the trees – or even the trees from the leaves. What is the big picture? It feels like humanity is headed for the biggest train wreck ever and, try as they may, no one seems to be able to stop the train. Our patriarchal status quo model has become industrialization. It is leading us down the path of certain destruction. Unless you are at the top of the heap in the model’s hierarchy, you are probably worried about the future. You also feel powerless to change it because the model concentrates the power at the top of the heap.

 

It’s not a model for the many and it is most certainly not a model that safeguards the wellbeing of future generations. In other words, it’s not sustainable. It breeds indifference in the many because power and wealth are concentrated in the few. The indifference further entrenches the status quo. Spiritually aware people can see, hear and feel the need for change but few of us know where to turn to support it. Let’s try to sort out the forest, the trees, and the leaves.

 

We are the leaves. In our world we can see that the hierarchical industrial model has penetrated every aspect of our lives. The model provides the infrastructure for medicine, government, religion, family, education, farming, business, scientific research, and the list goes on. It is well entrenched. It is the status quo. From the perspective of the leaves, we see that all of these systems are flawed. They are not working on behalf of the earth, all life upon the earth, and “we, the leaves” in particular. We also feel powerless to change them. Complacency has become the norm. That is the leaf perspective.

 

How do the trees perceive the world right now? We are living through the end of a 5000 year-old epoch. The patriarchy has spent itself, used most of the available resources, and forever changed the delicate balance Mother Earth once used to sustain herself. Will Mother Earth become like the industrialized modern mother who is unable to birth her children without the model’s intervention? Do those at the top of the heap think we can clone another Mother Earth? Though the wheels of change are turning a little faster than in past epochal shifts, the outcome remains anyone’s guess. The tree perspective provides a slightly bigger picture than that of the leaves but no real solutions.

 

What of the forest’s perspective? This self-destructing model of the patriarchy was preceded by a matriarchal epoch. That model is said to have been more egalitarian overall. However, it was also said to have worshipped the Matriarchal Goddess. That isn’t a lot different than the way we presently worship the Patriarchal God. Though that epoch may have started in an egalitarian social order, by the time it was headed for its inevitable self-destruction and absorption into the new model, power was obviously concentrated in the few. If it had been truly democratic, it would have survived. The forest perspective is big. Does it help us understand what is happening now or what happens next?

 

If we create a visual of the models, the evolution of the epochs may be revealed. We can use a downward pointing equilateral triangle to represent the matriarchy. It is egalitarian in nature but it focuses all of the power in the goddess (the womb/earth as mother/water) and it excludes men. On the spiritual path I share, this speaks to me of the emotional-mental field. It is the feminine part of the lower astral (thought field or 4th dimension) where we store emotional memory. It tends to be the level of the spiritual work most easily embraced by women. At the same time it is the level of the work where women seem to have the most self-healing work to do. Bringing back the matriarchy is not going to stop the train wreck.

 

Moving onward to the 5000-year epoch of the patriarchy, we can represent it as an upward pointing equilateral triangle. Most everyone is at the bottom and the king/dictator/CEO is at the top. There is a middle echelon as well, meant to directly serve the ONE, so we can see it as the many, the few, and the ONE. It fits our model of the patriarchal God (the mind/sun as father/air). Over the epoch this model has denied power to women. On the spiritual path, it represents the intellectual-mental field of the lower astral. This masculine part of the lower astral field began with the pursuit of mental greatness and is ending with the destruction of Mother Earth. If the matriarchal epoch helped us feel, this one has helped us think (mostly about ourselves).

 

Where to now? If we overlay one of our triangles on the other, we create a Star of David. The many, the few, and the ONE all share equally. In this new model (spiritual/integration/fire), the feminine and masculine powers lose a lot of their respective clout and have to learn to co-create in what looks very much like a democracy. On the spiritual path I share, we find this new model aligned with the upper astral, the spiritual-mental field of 4th dimension. We feel, think and imagine. That is regarded as a significant ascension step. I believe Mother Earth will take this step. Humanity, on the other hand, faces a choice. Do we take the step and enter the next epoch, or do we continue with the status quo and self-destruct along with the patriarchal model, which will lead to our extinction. A lot of very brainy people are presently pondering this question.

 

For the visionaries who are reading along with me, I would like to skip ahead to the most likely epoch beyond co-creation. Draw a circle around the Star of David. This circle is Mother Earth. Within the circle are the forest, the trees, the leaves and all of the life within the forest right down to the tiniest soil microbe and the molecules in the air. That future epoch will be all-inclusive Oneness (love/fusion/earth). That leap into the 5th dimension will be a great coming home for all those, including Mother Earth, trapped for all these eons by “The Fall”. It will teach us to love for the sake of love. That is the “above the forest” very big picture.

 

Humanity cannot skip epochs. Neither can Mother Earth. However, we can, through self-mastery, transcend an epoch (master it) and begin living the future epoch. In fact, some of us must live that future to sow the seeds for humanity’s inclusion in it. At that level of awareness, in the refined atmosphere well above the forest, the present time is beginning to look less like a train wreck and more like the Divine Plan unfolding, on a grand scale.

 

 

That puts the present in an interesting light. It looks like the greatest impediment to stopping the train before it self-destructs is the indifference of the leaves – us. The best remedy for that is for the all of us to wake up and take the power being offered to us by the coming epoch. That power is true democracy. What about democracy? It doesn’t really seem to be supporting the many. Wasn’t that the promise? Democracy looks like it might be on its own train wreck.

 

In America we were fortunate to have had a sublimely articulate dreamer write our Declaration of Independence. With 55 important words of abstract truth, Thomas Jefferson set the stage for the unfolding of this new epoch by pulsing the collective consciousness with the co-creative epoch’s power – true democracy.

 

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed.

Two things should be noted about this gift of freedom. First, the word men, is, in the abstract interpretation, a reference to all human beings, not just the white men who had all of the power in Jefferson’s time. That abstract truth has stood the test of time through emancipation of slaves, women’s suffrage and the civil and human rights movements. Second, an abstract truth has no historical reference point but is, instead, a mirror of the times in which it is interpreted. That means it has a timeless quality and is evolutionary by nature. True democracy’s evolution, though continually battered and tested by the worst sort of opposition, is, as its nature implies, a matter of time.

 

Jefferson was over 200 years ahead of his time with a vision that has yet to be purely manifested. I have to believe that he understood about timing – the epochal nature of social structure. Great shifts need to be jump-started by seed-sowing abstract dreamers like Jefferson. Then they need to be nurtured by super-conscious people, like Mahatma Ghandi, who demonstrate how to live the pure truth of the vision.  It may look like a train wreck from the perspective of the leaves but from the more refined atmosphere above the forest, where new epochs are born, it is a cyclical passage – the Divine Plan unfolding.

 

As visionaries, we must look to the epoch ahead to know how to live consciously in this one. Is global warming our train wreck or our “not to be ignored” wakeup call – the call to end indifference and come into balance. If we know in our hearts where we are going it might not be so traumatic to watch the old model self-destruct. In fact, it might be just the crisis we need to move beyond fear into peace, love and joy – the promise of true democracy.

 

The answer to the question “where do we turn?” is both within and without. We can help humanity make this big transition by making the transition to the upper astral in our own lives. There has never been a better time to attain self-mastery through conscious spiritual work. It should be our highest priority. We can also begin to knit together a powerful community of conscious people who express co-creation in the political voice of true democracy. The magic of the mirror will do the rest.

A Revolution in Human Consciousness

We find ourselves at a significant crossroads in human history. It may, in fact, be the ultimate crossroads as many futurists proclaim that we are on the verge of extinction as a species. As a scientist, I cannot disagree with that possibility. Humanity, if it stays the present course of extreme imbalance, is rapidly running out of options. As one of many humans deeply committed to the evolution of human consciousness, I cannot say that human extinction saddens me. Rather, it seems the inevitable end of an unconscious and narcissistic eon. This end, with ample warnings to avoid it, has been predicted by most indigenous cultures on the planet, but few have seen what, if anything lives beyond it. Are we to grieve or rejoice?

 

Within this seemingly tragic end, there will be the opportunity for the natural rebalancing and restoration of Mother Earth and her adaptable species but also, I believe, a moment of grace in which to birth a transcendent human. It seems a wild adventure to engage – akin to the sorcerer’s/shaman’s leap into the unknown – and it is not without risk but let’s face it, quantum leap evolution does not happen without revolution. Even as high levels of cultural complacency amidst an atmosphere of violence and fear threaten the very best of human achievements, an exhilarating undercurrent of this progressive revolution is clearly present and growing.

 

What is driving the grassroots progressive movements in politics, economics, science, the environment, human rights, literature, philosophy, and spirituality? In their most highly evolved forms the progressive movements are based upon the belief in an inclusive world, a global community – an absolute democracy that has yet to be experienced in the current eon of our history. It is palpable – in the air, and yet it seems so far from our present cultural reality. Are we idealistic dreamers? I hope so. That is how revolutions start. How they are won is through the embodiment of those dreams. If we want peace in this world, we must become peace. That means having peaceful thoughts, actions, emotions, feelings, energy right on down to the secretion of peaceful neuropeptides (modulators of our inner feelings) into our intracellular fluid. That is peace.

 

In true progressive spirituality those at the leading edge are able to embody the ideals they represent. They have broken free of the status quo and have even moved beyond the groundswell of increasingly popular spiritual teaching where success is still measured by the cultural parameters of wealth and position. How have they been able to do this? Like all good revolutionaries, they have put the cause before themselves. What it takes to be able to do that is self-mastery – the healing and awakening of the multi-dimensional self – a process that expands consciousness and results in wholeness. Self-mastery opens the door to serving others and the planet because the mastered self (higher self) serves the soul’s calling. Soul purpose is most often part of a greater mission, which is a group soul initiative.

 

It is not always easy work to master our lives, but from the prospective of the world we might be able to create in that mastery, what else have we to do of greater importance? Fortunately we needn’t stop the world to go off to a mystery school to become a master of self. The world is our school. The lessons appear at every turn of the road. We are on the path of greater awareness every day with each observation and correction we make in our lives. The benefits far outweigh the effort as our lives become lighter, happier and more meaningful. 

 

Potentially, we are wired for transcendence at the same time we are mired in the status quo. Lifting ourselves out of the complacency of the status quo, trusting that we are meant to evolve, is the critical first leap of consciousness in progressive spirituality. This first revolutionary step requires that we never give our power away again. That power becomes the source of the strength that anchors us at the leading edge of the human consciousness revolution. Maintaining ourselves at the leading edge is no guarantee that the human species will make a quantum evolutionary leap, but it certainly increases the probability. At the same time it may provide an unobstructed view of potential futures. Why would we not want to be there?

 

A Shaman’s Perspective

I am grateful for the time I was able to spend with the Q’ero elders in the high Andes of Peru. I was given many opportunities to be with them and hike to their high altitude villages over 12 years – long enough for me to watch our culture overtake theirs in predictable, painful, but undeniably timely ways. I learned not to grieve about it or judge it but, as a consequence, have not been motivated to return there either. My beloved teacher saw that coming and prepared me. We will never be disconnected at the level of energy. What I gained from the experience was largely energetic and intangible (a kind of spiritual glue that holds me together) but there were legends and prophecies I have held in my heart for safekeeping as well.

 

As I began writing this article I was overtaken with a sense of urgency. That feeling has been weaving its way between the lines creating a space for the sharing of something important to our potential survival on Mother Earth. One of the Q’ero legends states that this reality was created for a limited time only. It co-exists (is actually projected from) its mirror, the thought field or fourth dimension. Their prophecies state that we are fast approaching the end of time as we have known it. That ending presents those prepared with the opportunity to enter higher consciousness as the third and fourth dimensions collapse.

 

Thus, it is amazing, and not a little unnerving, to bear witness to what looks like an energetic rupture in the collective thought field. Related meltdowns are happening with alarming regularity on an individual level. Bodies, minds and spirits are struggling as the two realities merge at the same time the coming reality steadily presses itself upon us. The overriding and ever-increasing collective dumping of the human psyche into this reality is, as far as I know, unprecedented in human history. Our tidy little lives in the third dimension are being encroached upon by the thought field itself. It is unrelenting, oppressive, distracting, violent, overwhelming, mind-boggling, stressful, and dysfunctional to the extreme - all we would expect of the collective unconscious and, as luck would have it, the precise elements needed to incite a revolution.

 

This is undoubtedly what was predicted as the “end of time” – the collapse of linear time. It is also what happens at the moment of death for humans bound to this level of consciousness. To me, this “end of time” feels like the outdated, over-rated, old humanity experiencing its own death. It looks like the end of a long human experiment, another evolutionary dead end in this limited reality. The prophecies are coming to pass.

 

Within that collapse there will be a portal of transcendence readily accessible to those who have embodied higher consciousness. It will be an ascension step akin to a conscious death. I am hoping that our grass roots revolution attracts enough attention to jolt every soul that every dreamed of a heaven on earth. Do not be deceived into imagining that it will be a lonely road either. Revolutions bring out the best in most of us. There’s already an excited crowd gathering out on the edge and you’re invited.

 

 

 

VIRTUE TRANSMUTES FEAR INTO LOVE

It doesn't take much reflection to realize that most of the "civilized" world operates through fear-based belief systems. The major products of these systems are governments with their laws, rules and regulations and penalties for not complying, organized religions, educational systems, many commercial and corporate systems, competitive sports, and, of course, crime - to name a few. It is little wonder that we have assembled personal realities based on fear as well.

Believing for millenniums that the masses are unable to survive without strict control - obvious and subliminal - institutions and individuals in power have arrived at a peculiar time in history. The masses are waking up, and in the realization that we have been in something like a coma our entire lives we are finding ways to regain the power that has been lost to us. We do not mean power as it has been wielded previously, but a calm, deep knowingness of our own purpose here on Earth. Couple this with a shiny new definition of service and you have a spiritual revolution taking place.

SERVICE
What is service anyway? In the past it has looked like sacrifice for others - to the point of giving your life away - look what Jesus did after all! We have been taught that this is good and noble, that it will prepare a soft bed for us in heaven, and that suffering is somehow Divine. If you recognize these as beliefs that no longer work for you, read on. Those beliefs reflect the negativity that has been imposed on us.

True service is service to oneself. Some of us need to overcome the rising fear of selfishness just to be able to think about that statement. We are not speaking of self-gratification, feeding the desire body, but of really caring how our spiritual work integrates into our everyday lives. It means paying attention to ourselves in a new way. We are talking about our soul's purpose - the mission we came to complete and the focus we need to complete it. That is service. There is no need to worry about what other people are doing or to compare them with ourselves in any way. If your husband does not appear to be doing his spiritual work, you can waste a lot of your energy trying to change that or you can allow his path to unfold in its own way and time while you support him. The former choice serves no one while the latter choice, which asks that you concern yourself only with your own work, serves everyone. The former choice is fear-based while the later is love-based.

Anyone seriously walking a path to enlightenment realizes, at some point, that it is a full time job. Trying to balance it with an everyday job that doesn't support your spiritual path is frustrating. The job that is our true soul's purpose will complement and support enlightenment in every way. You will know when it happens to you because it is a perfect fit and allows all of your talents to be cultivated and used. It will grow and evolve as you do. Whatever it is, it is also your service.

When these two important aspects of our lives - the path and the work - come together we grow in our service. If we allow ourselves to be informed more by virtue, that which is divinely inspired, rather than culture, we can make a great difference in the world. Our only real work in this life is to achieve our own enlightenment and to use our unfolding gifts for the highest good of all. If we can, in that achievement, inspire others to do likewise, what greater service is there?

A VIRTUAL BRIDGE FROM FEAR TO LOVE
There are a number of virtues that come to mind when we ponder how fear might be transformed into love - keeping in mind that the only place this needs to happen is in our own hearts. The first of these is acceptance, which speaks to non-judgment as a form of service. We fear that which is different from ourselves, our version of reality, and what the culture might accept. How much easier it would be to accept the diversity that exists, and will not change, as a reflection of God. Judgment is an enormous waste of mental energy that diverts our focus from our own work to everyone else's.

Our second virtue is surrender - letting go of the fear and the control that accompanies it. This is a big one for some of us. Surrender to what? How about surrendering to the Divine Plan? Each of our soul's put a plan together for this life before we incarnated. The really rewarding part of the spiritual path is locking into this Divine flow of magic in our lives. It is also the most frightening part of the path as well, being generally unrelated to what society advocates. Surrender happens a step at a time. Life tests each step for related fear or control, and then the next step can be taken. Related to each step of surrendering fear is the act of transforming the fear-based beliefs that hold us back. Once we have been able to let go of them, incorporating love-based beliefs instead, our reality begins shifting more towards love.

Another important aspect of surrender is letting go of the ties that bind us to others. If our relationships are muddled with agendas, resentments, and attachments of any kind, we cannot be autonomous. Autonomy is true personal power - knowing who we are, why we are here, and becoming a self-contained wizard to accomplish our mission. We cannot do this if we have half our luminous field in other people's chakras. Every time we let go, we gain more power. Say, for example, that you have an enormous fear of not having enough food, money, friends or love to have a happy life. These fears causes you to hoard food and overeat, to overwork in order to have that cushion of comfort in the bank, and to cling to family and friends even if they are abusive. Looking back at your childhood you understand that your parents lived through the great depression and continually reinforced the obvious - that there was not enough. Just understanding this can open a door, but actually changing that core belief moves you into a whole new reality - a reality of plenty.

When reality shifts and you no longer need to hoard or depend on others you can see clearly that your attachments to food, money and other people were based on fear. This caused you to energetically hang on to them by dispersing your own luminous field into theirs. Pulling these filaments of light back into your field is the art of empowerment. Conversely, you may need to pull other people's filaments from your field. When all of your light is your own and no one else is in your field, you are autonomous - and, by the way, awesome.

Lastly, we cannot cross the bridge from fear to love without trust. In fact, both surrender and acceptance require trust - trust in ourselves, trust in others, trust that there is an unfolding Divine Plan. Though waning prior to that time, trust, like magic, is something we lost completely during the Dark Ages. As if locked up for safekeeping, love was no longer a part of our world. It is time to trust again, and with that key of trust unlock the doors of love.

LOVE AS A FORCE
Will there be fear in the fifth dimension? Some say not. Shaman's see fear as the absence of love, and love as the frequency of the fifth dimension - Christ Consciousness. However, being practical, let's understand that there is a natural fear that we would not want to lose. This natural fear has to do with instincts and warnings about people and situations that are potentially harmful. Learning to read fear as an energetic message is valuable. Allowing it to be a force in our lives is the mistake. Arriving at a place where we can regard fear as an energetic message is a high level of attainment. An even higher level would be to receive the message and transmute it with love.

For the most part, we don't know love without attachment. That is conditional love. We have few examples of unconditional love beyond that instinctual love of parents for their newborn, the heroic love of one who gives his life for another without pondering it for a second, and, of course, the love that Jesus embodied. As soon as the parent has a thought about the baby's future, the love becomes attached. If the hero contemplates a purple cross for one nanosecond, the love is attached.

Jesus managed to adopt unconditional love as a lifestyle, gifting us a glimpse of the fifth dimension 2000 years ago. In the Andes, there is a word for such love - munay. It is not a concept but a power - the power of love. Munay was what Jesus had pouring forth from his sacred heart. With this love he transmuted fear on all levels. He allowed the Divine Plan to unfold in complete surrender at the same time allowing himself to express emotion freely. He felt fear, then surrendered to love. He was in the world but not of the world. He empowered us completely to bring this level of surrender into our own lives to support our callings and to be of service. It is high magic.

THE POWER OF THE AUTHENTIC MAN - TO MANIFEST THE FUTURE
Navigating Humanity Towards Higher Consciousness

Through the wisdom of anthropologist Joseph Campbell, I was, long ago, introduced to the concept that we are a people without a myth, without a future. Compound this with the fact that we are still trapped in the archetypal patterns of a strangely abusive Greek and Roman pantheon of gods, and it looks even worse than no future - no present. My life work has brought me to remember that the women hold the key to any future we might have for all aboriginal cultures on the earth honor the women as they who can dream the future.

Currently, my work involves reawakening women to the power of dreaming. Our work has been focused upon clearing ourselves so that we might hold the frequencies of the next dimension. We are clearing patterns of jealousy, distrust and fearfulness that we have held collectively throughout the era of the patriarchy. We are clearing patterns of control, manipulation, and lack of self worth that were born out of the necessary demise of the goddess cults. We have devoted considerable time to changing archetypal patterns within ourselves and within the collective consciousness of all women. The next phase of our work is about to begin - bringing forth the dream of the golden cities. We must first bring them forth within our own hearts by connecting to the higher dimensional aspects of ourselves that have always resided in those golden cities. It is a process of remembering. Then we can bring that dream forward for humanity knowing how to anchor it within.

What becomes immediately clear to all of us, as we engage this process, is that it is not the task of women to manifest that future which we dream. Our task is to provide the road map, the cartography, the dream, and to deliver it to the beloved men, who will begin their personal and collective work to manifest that dream. Of course, that process begins within their hearts and with the changing of archetypal patterns that hold men back from self-realization as well. We are looking at a beautiful and productive co-creative process between conscious men and women. Yes, the goddess is returning. She needs to return, but she will not be taking over. Co-creation is the next step for human consciousness.

BUILDING THE FUTURE
The stone and mortar of the ancient mystery schools have been replaced with built-in obsolescence. Perhaps that is the most poignant metaphor we have for our culture - a flash in the pan future. Where did we go wrong? It seems that we became weary or were mesmerized and fell asleep. Whatever the reason, our collective amnesia holds us in cycles that prevent us from becoming enlightened - from using the fullness of our gifts and wisdom to advance human

consciousness. The golden cities exist in the 5th dimension. The 5th dimension isn't in some other galaxy. It's right here, all around us. In the gospel of Thomas, Jesus is quoted as saying "the kingdom of heaven is spread upon the earth and men do not see it". 5th dimension is Christ Consciousness, the love frequency, being in the soul. That means being in bliss because what you are doing is your soul's calling, your soul's longing and its purpose.

We can be in the 5th dimension any time we choose to be there. However, to permanently anchor the 5th we must first transit through the 4th dimension, the unconscious, and manifest the higher aspects of that dimension; wisdom, inner truth, higher self and our light bodies. This brings the unconscious into consciousness at the same time allowing us to come into the gifts that await us when we create that bridge. To build that bridge is the work of owning our darkness, forgiving ourselves, letting go of it all, clearing, clearing, clearing, on all levels of our being. It can take a lifetime, years, or five minutes depending on the path of our soul.

When we change core beliefs, we change our reality, for core beliefs are what shape our reality. That is how we can build the bridge on a personal and a collective level. When men chose to believe in the power of the women's dream, they will find their own power to manifest it. It will mean healing trust issues and letting go of ways that our culture has come to measure success. It will entail embracing happiness and fulfillment while releasing frustration and depression. Once you get the hang of it, changing your reality becomes a way of life that allows you to embrace the qualities of detachment and fearlessness that are the hallmarks of the magician, the shapeshifter.

MASCULINE ARCHETYPAL PATTERNS
The most difficult task awaiting both women and men is the transformation of archetypal patterns, collectively held core beliefs, which have kept us asleep for millennium. Before we can change them, it is necessary to recognize them and own them within ourselves. In the course of researching the feminine archetypes, I have been introduced to many of the male archetypal patterns that are being manifested from the masculine collective unconscious.

For instance, the archetype of Zeus/Jupiter, and its more recent manifestation as Don Juan, is a seducer and romancer of the feminine trapped in a collective fear that the feminine holds the power to devour him. This fear was established long ago, when the year king was sacrificed by the ancient goddess cults as an offering to Mother Earth, the great goddess. For men, the resulting patterns are numerous shallow relationships, the machismo attitude that prevails in much of the western world, and the man who enters a relationship fearing the attainment of god-realization which comes through mutual surrender to the partner in a deeply committed love. It is a mask but a powerful one for the loss of life is a primal fear. This archetype projected that unwholesome fear of powerful women through the patriarchs of the church to bring on and sustain the Holy Inquisition for hundreds of years.

You may not be aware that you hold this fear, but in the unconscious it is there for you if you have chosen a male incarnation. Don Juan may not be a pattern that you have acted out in your life, but aspects of this pattern can not have escaped you. That is the nature of archetypes. Another archetypal pattern for men is the competitor, the one who needs to win at everything. This archetype has been the progenitor of the hierarchical systems of power that prevail over most of the civilized world. Mars offers a very destructive warrior archetype, whereas Merlin gives us the magician who has lost his power, perhaps through abusing it, resulting in the loss of Camelot for everyone. You can imagine that this myth gives us a tenacious collectively held fear of failure. Our concept of king has strayed enormously from that of the original messianic bloodline of the grail wherein the anointed king upheld the grail codes of true service to the people.

We are a conglomerate of archetypes which are, for the most part, unrecognized. Oblivion is the nature of amnesia. These distorted myths have been set in place to handicap us. If we do not recognize and transform them, we remain powerless and unenlightened. If we are willing to embrace a new reality by changing them, we are on our way to the 5th dimension. Women and men who have cleared away the constrictions of rigidly and unconsiously held core beliefs are the hope of the future, the dreamers and the navigators towards higher dimensional realities.

CREATING NEW MYTH - BIRTH OF THE JEDI KNIGHTS
Did you know that George Lucas and Joseph Campbell were good friends? This comes as no surprise to those who have truly understood the concepts Lucas has brought forth in the Star Wars series. Lucas has understood the power of myth and the need to create new mythic archetypes to lift us, especially men, out of the amnesia. His archetypal portrayals of women are not as well crafted although they are inspiring. What is Lucas trying to accomplish with the Jedi Knights? It is a complex but important doorway to the future.

Our concept of the warrior must shift to pop us out of 3-D reality into realities of higher frequency. We will never lose our archetype of the warrior; it is part of the landscape of the human psyche, but aren't we ready to part with the barbaric behavior we have inherited from our ancestors? The archetypal patterning of the warrior, the brutish and abusive Attila the Hun, the Roman gladiators, medieval knights, soldiers, the warlords and even the new warriors of the men's movement will not work in 5th dimension. All of the manifestations of this archetype, so graphically portrayed for us on film, the news and everyday life, are born out of a false sense of courage that has, in no way, eliminated the deep fear that drives the warrior to conquer and kill.

Lucas is presenting us with an archetype that will work in higher dimensions, an archetype with a heart, a truly authentic man. The only mythic characters that have come close to this archetype have been the grail knights, the knights of Arthur's round table. However there were flaws in the round table that failed the evolution of human consciousness and a romanticism that could not possible serve us now.

So, who are the Jedi Knights? The Jedi are spiritual warriors dedicated to maintaining peace in the galaxies. They poke holes in the egos of the powerful and controlling- those who seek personal gain at the expense of others. They try to bring things into balance wherever they find imbalance. These are the kind of high ideals that our armed forces and government would like us to believe they embrace, but the veil of this deception is thin. What is different about the Jedi is their integrity. They are trained to be impeccable and to exercise a high degree of discernment - what I perceive as a 6th sense, or knowingness, that allows them to chose right action in the moment. They must be focused in the "Now" at all times. How different our lives would be if we could attain this degree of focus. They are a bit like the Shaolin priests of old China in that respect - using force only when it is used towards them, choosing every possible alternative to harming another.

We have a spiritual warrior with high ideals, integrity and wisdom. What else does a Jedi represent? He is a master magician, performing feats beyond human comprehension. Here is a man without limitations, fears, or judgments who holds himself in a shimmer of mystery and magic. He is vulnerable in a human way, but his ethics and intent are invincible. He is aware of his own ego and is trained to move outside of it to accomplish his mission. In addition to these qualities, he is tender, willing to be in his feelings and to share them with men and women alike. Trust me when I tell you he would be one popular man with the women I know!

Lucas has also portrayed a bigger picture, the perennial and cosmic battle of light and dark. We interpret "may the Force be with you" to imply that the Jedi work on behalf of the good guys. I suggest to you that we are interpreting that according to core beliefs that are based on religious dogmas. It is not what Lucas has in mind at all. The gifted child, Anakin Skywalker, trained as a Jedi, becomes the archetype of darkness, Darth Vader, when he succumbs to the seduction of power and ego. Darth Vader is the father of Princess Leah and Luke Skywalker who portray the light. This is exactly the cosmology of the Taoists as symbolized by the yin/yang. In that symbology, the darkness is constantly birthing the light as the light is birthing the darkness. The darkness contains the light even as the light contains the darkness. Lucas is offering us an old but profound cosmological option. Can we take him up on it?

What is dark and what is light? What is good and what is evil? They are opposing forces. The Force contains them both. Is there anywhere in the universe free of these opposing forces? Only one place, the heart of God, the point of tranquillity. Until we are back home, in the heart of God, it might best suit our needs to accept that light and dark are used to keep things moving in the universe. It has been a disservice to our culture that we have adopted core beliefs about good and evil. If things were not moving through opposition, we would not be motivated to seek the stillness in the heart of God. So lifetime after lifetime, we return to play the roles of light and dark - to keep things moving, for the challenge of the Jedi Knight is to give all beings the opportunity, through freedom and acceptance, to find God within themselves.

It was highly significant that our Jedi Knight was not victorious in his fight with the darkness in the most recent film and that his convictions about the training of Anakin Skywalker spawned the era of Darth Vader which moved a lot of energy in the galaxies. There are no mistakes. We need to bust our myths about the devil and evil in every way they are portrayed. Lets admit that we all contain the light and the dark and move into integrity with our lives. The Jedi provide us with a new warrior archetype, one that is being instilled in the unconscious of all those who have embraced the message. In time, it will replace warn-out archetypes as young men make choices between the old and new myth. This is how new myth making occurs. It is heart-warming to know that we are birthing archetypal transformation right here, right now.

The warrior is only one of the major male archetypes. I challenge you to identify the others and create options that will serve us in the future, and I would appreciate hearing about them. Let's keep in mind that even though the Jedi are our warriors' doorway right now, we need, above all, to learn flexibility and detachment in our myth-making. We don't want to get stuck in the Jedi concept of the warrior either or we will find ourselves sound asleep again albeit at a slightly higher frequency than the last 4000 years. From this point on, we need to allow the myth we create to evolve and mutate as a reflection of the expansion of human consciousness.

Beloved men, may you find the love and support you need to follow your bliss, to find the path of your soul. May you take up the challenge of manifesting the dream of the future for humanity, and may the Force be with you.

SISTERHOOD OF THE SUN
Awakening the Memory of our Collective Dream

Ancient Memories...
    We stand at an altar before the great golden disc of the sun. The setting sun sends radiant light beams through the open windows of the temple. The reflection of the sun's rays as they hit the golden solar disc sends high frequency light into our luminous fields raising our vibration to that of the sun. We are, for that moment, one with the solar legacy brought to earth by the star beings. The sun is a star - our star. We do not worship the sun, we respect its power and flourish in its strength and wisdom. The sun is our father as earth is our mother. We are both sun and earth within - father and mother within.

    We are in the temple to take our final vows as a priestess of the sun. We are willing to put the mission of our starry origins, the awakening and planetary ascension of the earth, above all our desires. There are only a few of us taking the vows, but our avowed sisters file into the temple behind us and we feel the strength of a great lineage of light. They begin to chant with low voices and soon the voices are rippling like water over rock, rising and falling, accompanied by drum beat, rattle, clacking bones and dancing flute.

    The women continue until the full disc of the setting sun has fired the golden solar disc with cosmic light. We are all entranced, singing and moving in joy and ecstasy. We move from the rhythm of the womb to the rhythm of the heart, sending an expansive love energy out to the earth and all her people. We are in the frequency of our mission and we are in bliss because our purpose is fulfilled.

    At this hour of power, we take our vows before the high priestess and our sisters. Dancing and singing into the night in the fullness of God-frequency, we take our places in the most ancient lineage on the earth, the lineage of the codes of light, the priestesses of Annu, the sun. We are part of a large group soul committed to holding consciousness, or frequency, on the planet. Whatever else we do in our lives, the mission takes priority for we only come to serve the mother in her quest to become a star herself.

    The full moon rises, shining her light through the eastern windows of the temple. She is, this night, a complete reflection of the sun. In future times our secret sisterhood will become outwardly associated with the moon to protect us from the patriarchal leadership which will pretend to hold dominion of the sun. Those who hold the lineage of light will not be lured into moon goddess worship, but will respect the moon as we respect all mirrors in our lives. She brings light into the darkness even as those we call to assist our growth by mirroring our own density bring conscious light into our own interior world of shadows.

    We are the women dreamers - those who shape reality. Yes, there are those men who understand our mission. They support and protect us. They are the magi, the brotherhood of magicians who are masters of energy and intent. We have always worked together to bring forth higher consciousness - not just upon earth, but in many star-seedings in all galaxies. We are held by no limitations so long as we remain conscious of our mission. If we forget, we are lost.

The Awakening...
    Many millennia have passed since those days of conscious temple life. The lineage has incarnated in great numbers to assist the shift in planetary frequency that we are now experiencing. The difficulty has been that during the passage of time this ancient lineage of the sun has lost conscious knowledge of the sacred duty and collective vision that we have always shared. The point from which all people perceive reality has shifted enormously since that time. People have been made to believe that God can not be accessed directly, that God judges and has opinions about human behavior, and that God is male.

    God, the supreme love energy of creation, is far beyond form, gender, and the emotional and mental characteristics we like to attribute to "Him". Our very concept of God blocks our access to this supreme energy. It is that concept, forged into our consciousness by the patriarchy, that makes us compete with one another, hurt one another and otherwise fail to see the God in one another. Our point of perception has narrowed into something very ego-centered and fearful. It is that concept of God that gradually eroded the integrity of the Sisterhood of the Sun and the Brotherhood of the Magi and caused them to fall into forgetfulness.

    Now, we who hold the codes of light are born unconscious of our soul commitment to the mission. Yet, we hold the codes as we did in ancient times. As we begin to explore the world outside the point from which we have been perceiving reality, our memory begins to stir. When we enter dimensions of expanded consciousness we feel the great stirring of the mission, the yearning to fulfill our purpose, and we remember God. It is initiation to open ourselves to this awareness. We touch a higher consciousness and we can no longer perceive reality from that old dysfunctional point. We and "it" have shifted. We have been "decoded" into awareness.

    The dreamer within us awakens- the one who can look out into the night sky and remember the plan. This cosmic dreamer can shape reality with intent. This priestess of the sun does so with impeccable intent for to do otherwise would break the vows of the lineage. She knows how to manifest in her own life and for the planet. She knows how to support and love other women. She feels and responds to the deep yearning for enlightenment. She sees and honors the God in all beings, including herself.

The Collective Vision...
    There is a profoundly beautiful story unfolding right now. It is as moving as the memories of the ancient times. Women are stepping out of the mist that has been as a cloud upon the horizon of their vision. They are releasing the old thought forms that have limited their abilities to shape the future. They are reawakening the sisterhood through the shared experience of God frequency - love.

    These women are working together to call in the awakening of all women. They are not the great warriors of women's liberation, but the gentle dreamers who can shape a new reality with intent. They are working the grid lines of the earth and the cosmos, opening the codes of light within themselves and other women to the work at hand. They are moving in an energy of love, compassion, complete forgiveness and surrender. They are finding fulfillment and purpose in a once bleak landscape.

    This is true liberation - of body, soul, and spirit. It is filled with hope and rides on the frequency of God's grace. They are the shamans and the priestesses, moving within the protective energies of the magi who, both incarnate and ascended, have continually guarded the lineage of light. As this movement grows, the men will come forth into their true destiny as well, since earth calls them to action in her planetary ascension process. Within this unfoldment of the Divine Plan, the status quo will exercise its need to control one last time before it completes its transformation into planetary guardianship.

    This movement towards balance and planetary ascension begins with the women. I have no doubt of this now. They are opening the doors to this work all around the country. I see the Sisterhood of the Sun in a state of rebirth and reawakening and the energy of it is joy. I see codes of light opening within these women which will be released according to the Divine Plan to uphold the ever-increasing waves of consciousness entering the planet. We invite you to participate in this truly liberating process of self-realization. We invite you to find the God within all beings, including yourself.

QUESTING OUR SOUL'S PURPOSE

    One of the deepest mysteries of each earthwalk is the calling of the soul to its purpose, the divine plan for its journey into free will and through the illusion of separation from God. Without the conscious memory of God, we are led by parents, teachers and the collective into careers and often values that foster further separation from the Divine.

    When we begin our conscious journey home to soul connection we would pray that it be smooth, short and to the point. However, for most who have achieved this level of consciousness the learning curve of self-realization has been staggering and the journey painful. At this time, when we are being called to bring self-realization into the fifth dimension as part of Earth's ascension process, how can we soul-connect quickly and without traumatizing ourselves? Let us explore the journey home to soul, then look at ways to facilitate it.

The Journey Home
    Our soul is never far away from us. When we are babies, still close to God, the soul is simply too great a light for the little body to anchor. As we grow and attach ourselves more and more to the human experience, we lose, along with our innocence, the yearning to be soul-connected. What does it mean to be self-realized or soul-connected? It means that we know who we are. It means we are engaged in our part of the divine plan, living our divinity as well as our destiny.

    By adulthood our souls long for union with us and continually prompt our unconscious towards greater light. Doors open for us and golden opportunities present themselves as the journey home begins to seep into our consciousness. Soon we make the choice to consciously engage the process and our true awakening begins. We are drawn to books, teachers and healers who help us shape our personal spiritual path. We are constantly rocking our world, shifting beliefs, ideas and values.

    Each one of our quests is a unique unfoldment and profound healing process, quite beyond comparison. Often a roller coaster ride filled with highs and lows, the spiritual path eventually seeks center, a balance point where self-realization is complete. From there, the journey leads to stillness, tranquillity, the key to the flowering of the heart and union with God.

Finding Balance
    Given the enormous amount of conflict inherent in the world we have created, it is necessary to look first at the conflict within. For a long time, the universe has been experiencing polarity or duality. Now mystics, shamans and ordinary people are hearing a message from the Heart of God to heal separation. All duality can shift into union. This cosmic imperative is none other than the call home to God.

    Within us there exists a polarity, a light and a dark, a masculine and a feminine. We are a genetic composite of our parents but we often fail to recognize that these bloodlines exist as an energetic force within us. It is the cosmic battle of light and dark, right down to our DNA. If we were not raised by enlightened parents, we have within us a triad of energetic forces acting and reacting on this plane; the father, the mother and the wounded child.

    Our wounded child seeks wholeness from parents who seemed programmed to fail us, and to our horror we come to realize that we have somehow managed to replicate the best and worst of them within us. What looks like an endless saga of therapy, inner child work and bloodline healing can really be the key to finding balance. Since we have our fathers and mothers imprinted within us, we can assume responsibility for our own parenting. When we do this, we release limitations that we have placed upon our parents and free them to their own ascension process.

    This work is beyond forgiveness and requires almost no effort on our parts. But we must be ready to do it, ready to let go of long held beliefs about ourselves and our parents. To accomplish this is a step towards mastery on our earthwalk. It opens us to work with our male and female polarities beyond healing the child-parent conflict. Our child-self is nourished by our own self-parenting until the divine child is birthed of the union of male and female within. The fruit of our completeness is self-realization and the anchoring of the soul.

    The word realization implies an instantaneous awareness. It can take years of work to open ourselves to that awareness or it can happen like a bolt of lightening, swift, unexpected and profoundly life-changing. One portal for this lightening bolt of self-realization is, in my experience, the unconscious realm of the shamanic trance, because it can bypass this reality and connect us directly with the divine.

Entering the Stillness
    From a place of purity within the balance of the divine feminine and masculine comes an opportunity to anchor the soul. It requires a certain stillness, peace within a disquieting world. It might be called "holding center". If this place of tranquillity can be held, the door will open for the next great step in our spiritual unfoldment, the flowering of the heart. How do we accomplish this?

    The sense of balance within must enter the world. We learn to exercise the divine masculine and feminine as needed to continually balance relationships with others. This is many times more challenging than healing the imbalance within because our intent to take this step brings those into our lives who will challenge us. To hold center in the world it is necessary to overhaul all the core beliefs that have formulated our judgments and opinions of others.

    To be in stillness requires that we embrace all people as whole God beings. To criticize is to limit growth. When we hold those around us in the highest possible vibration, whether it be compassion, trust, truth, or love, we free them to the limitless possibilities of their own ascension. This is unconditional love and that which it invites into our lives is grace.

    It takes practice to see God in others, especially when they irritate us. A first step is to acknowledge the irritation but also see that they are mirroring an aspect of ourselves to us. If we take responsibility for this unsavory aspect of self, they no longer have a need to irritate us. We called them into our lives to teach us this lesson and help us raise our frequency by accepting and healing our own impurities, our own indulgence in the human dilemma.

    A more advanced step might be to bypass the irritation and accept the lessons of the mirror more fully. Recognizing and honoring this aspect of self allows us to see ourselves in others, an act of healing separation. This opens us to accepting and seeing God in the other individual. Eventually, we aspire to the highest frequency of seeing only God in the other person, without irritation and without the need for personal mirrors.

    As we transit through the various stages of ascension activation (accessing higher consciousness) the soul becomes more at home in the body. The soul is anchored in our truth and as its presence grows stronger, it requires that we be be in our truth at all times. If something is not compatible with our truth, we will be motivated to change it. It may be our employment, our marriage, our religious practices, what we read, watch and listen to - anything. The soul is aligning us to our truth and to our purpose.

    Our soul purpose is our gift to the planet and her people. It could be anything from laughter to celestial navigation. We will know when we are doing it because it is aligned to our truth and it puts us in bliss. If we are not happy with what we are doing, we are not in our truth. It seems that the soul's purpose becomes much clearer to us as we reach the point of stillness. When we can live in balance, holding center with the soul anchoring us in our truth, the divine plan is less of a mystery to us.

The Flowering Of The Heart
    When we are actively engaged in our soul's purpose, the experience of bliss and peace allow the complete inner surrender needed to open our hearts. Hearts open on a lot of levels, first to deeper levels of self-love. Our child-self blossoms into a divine child whose gift is innocence and God-remembrance. Babies see God in everything because babies remember that they are God. If we can regain this level of purity, our hearts open further to include all of creation. Seeing God in all things sends the mirror of God back to us. This is an impersonal mirror we need never outgrow. This is God-realization. We are all one.

    The flowering of a heart space that can hold the essence and vibration of Divine Love coincides with enlightenment. Our bodies of light, our own God presence, descend into human form, bringing heaven to earth. We may turn to the mystical union with God as a way of life, or use the light to serve the earth and her people. This is compassion in action, the role of the Bodhisattva.

    We might spend many years in service to the heart before experiencing our own God presence or we might experience God-union instantaneously through a higher level portal of consciousness. When circumstances, such as the experience of pure, high vibrational sound, permit us to hold the frequency of higher consciousness accessed through the shamanic trance for an extended time, a Divine portal can open and we may have the opportunity to experience the vibration of God. We can bring this frequency back with us and see it in all things including the eyes looking back at us in the mirror.

   Once we have experienced the ecstasy of God, the frequency of universal love, we have little desire for that which hinders the flowering of the heart. Though our path has been unique, we find that all paths merge into the oneness at this point. We know God, but we have always known God. We are God. We'd just forgotten. © Jessie E. Ayani Ph.D. 1998
